Pupils can give names for the station, A being the principal station.

Going from A to any station is easy.  Going from E to D involves changing at A.  

 

Going round the A B E at different speeds can lead to miles per hour calculations. Because it's not a circle means not using pi.

Pupils will be asked how the track can be measured.  Pin string to inner and then outer tracks is the answer.
