SPACE - Introduction

 

  1. Space, also known as outer space, is the area directly outside Earth's atmosphere. 

  2. Space technically begins at the Kármán Line, which is about 100 km or 62 miles above the Earth -  more. 

  3. Unlike Earth, there is no air in space, which is why astronauts must wear high-tech spacesuits to make adjustments to the outside of their spaceship.

  4. Why don't they float away from the spaceship?
